IRP Volunteer of the Year

Nominations are now open for this year’s IRP Volunteer of the Year award.  This award is presented annually to a jurisdiction or industry employee who has made outstanding contributions to the IRP community through his/her participation in the previous year on an IRP committee or project. The deadline for submitting a nomination for this year is August 7, 2009. The award will be presented at the IRP Annual Meeting on September 12. The nomination form was emailed to the IRP membership and will be posted on the IRP, Inc. Web site on Monday, July 6.  Please contact Joelle Ward for additional information.

IRP, Inc. is seeking volunteers for the Volunteer of the Year Award Selection Committee. This ad hoc committee will be composed of one IRP, Inc. Board member, two jurisdiction members and two industry members.  The Selection Committee meets once a year approximately one month prior to the next IRP Annual Meeting.  Please contact Joelle Ward if you are interested in volunteering.

Annual Report of Plan Activity

Yesterday was the deadline for submitting your jurisdiction’s annual report of Plan activity for calendar year 2008. If you haven’t done so already, please forward your form as soon as possible to Laurie Wright or fax it to (703) 831-8757.

2009 IRP Annual Meeting

Have you registered yet? The deadline to obtain the early-bird discount rate of $230 is July 10. You must pay in full to get this lower rate.

By now, all member jurisdictions should have contacted IRP, Inc. about which individual they are sending to the Annual Meeting as their jurisdiction representative. An important meeting for jurisdictions and industry alike, attendance at the meeting ensures our members are kept up-to-date on all areas affecting IRP registration. Please contact Joelle Ward for additional information.

2011 Annual Meeting

IRP, Inc. has contracted with the Omni William Penn in Pittsburgh, PA, for the 2011 IRP Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held May 5-8, 2011.

The Legacy of Richard L. Reeves…

Few individuals have made such a great impact on the IRP community as Mr. Richard “Rick” Reeves.

Today, Mr. Reeves’ legacy continues, thanks to the fifth annual Richard L. Reeves IRP Leadership Award, created in his honor and presented to an individual who has distinguished herself or himself by outstanding contributions and involvement within the IRP community.

We proudly announce that nominations are now being accepted for the 2009 Richard L. Reeves IRP Leadership Award. Click here to access the nomination form and instructions. Nominations must be received by July 10, 2009, in order to be considered. The winner will be announced at the 2009 IRP Annual Meeting in Tucson, Arizona.

2009 Jurisdiction Reports

In preparation for the upcoming IRP Annual Meeting, please let us know what is happening in your jurisdiction by sending us a jurisdiction report by August 14.  The reports will be included in the next edition of IRP Checkpoint, which will be provided at the Annual Meeting and posted on the IRP, Inc. Web site.

In order to assist you in putting together your jurisdiction's report, IRP, Inc. has created a jurisdiction report template. This is intended to be used as a reference only, so feel free to add topics that are relevant or skip areas that do not apply to you. If you have any questions about how to complete this report, please contact Joelle Ward.

The jurisdiction reports are an important inter-jurisdictional link, keeping IRP member jurisdictions and industry partners informed of current projects and news from your jurisdiction. We sincerely appreciate your contributions to this vital report.
