Learning Objectives

By the end of the session, the user will be able to:

·                    Log into the modernized Clearinghouse.

·                    Access the new screens and enhancements including the new ‘forgot password’ function, new verification of pre-netting totals, and VIN search.

·                    Navigate in the new system, working with the new menu organization,terminology changes, column headings, sort capability and reports.

·                    Submit feedback on the new system.

·                    Identify implementation schedules. 

       

Audience

This session is for all current IRP Clearinghouse users.  The session is not intended to address the basic functionality and use of the Clearinghouse, but rather, highlight changes in features, navigation techniques and the implementation schedule for the new platform.

IRP HVUT (Heavy Vehicle Use Tax)

The IRP Heavy Vehicle Use Tax Task Force is working on identifying ways to improve the HVUT process, with a goal of making the program more efficient and relieving the burden on both jurisdictions and motor carriers, while improving compliance.  This IRP webinar will present task force discussions to date, including the possibility of drafting federal legislation.  The Task Force is seeking input from individuals responsible for both IRP and intra-state registrations.  Download presentation here.

Basing and Application Requirements

This training provides an overview of key Plan definitions and demonstrates how these definitions interact with requirements for Plan Sections 305 – Selection of Base Jurisdiction and 315 – Application Process. There is also detailed discussion on Sections 310 – Non-Member Jurisdiction, Section 325 – Variance of Registered Weights along with Section 515 – Reciprocity for Trailing Equipment that explains their significance to the apportion application process.

Fees and Estimated Distance

This training is a full overview of Plan Section 405 – Calculation of Apportionment Percentages presented by members of the Plan Procedures and Education Committee.  It includes participation exercises that demonstrates the calculation of apportion percentages and fees while expressing total distance and reporting periods. These exercises will help in identifying 1st and 2nd year estimates and how to calculate the appropriate apportion percentages.

IRP 101

This training is an introduction to the International Registration Plan. Topics covered will include the history and importance of IRP, member jurisdictions' responsibilities and how they benefit from IRP, overview of IRP, Inc. (including the IRP Clearinghouse, ballot process, peer review program, etc.), overview of the Plan, tips for effective IRP management and more.

What is a Webinar?

A Webinar is a Web-based tool that is compatible with Microsoft Office Suite. It consists of two parts: the Web portion and the phone portion. You click a link to access the Web portion and dial in to a conference call number to access the phone portion. Easy!
