The annual meeting in Louisville, KY was a huge success, with over 200 individuals in attendance representing 58 jurisdictions.
Highlights included:
Three in-depth breakouts focusing on changes to the Plan rewrite, which becomes effective July 1, 2008
- Meetings of the Plan Procedures and Education Committee, the PRISM Committee, and the Industry Advisory Committee
- A welcome video from Kentucky governor Ernie Fletcher, and remarks from AAMVA Chair Glenn Turner, FL
- Updates on IFTA, Inc., AAMVA and IRP, Inc. activities
- An open meeting to review and comment on 13 IRP ballots
- A panel discussion, moderated by AAMVA’s Tim Adams, on Motor Carrier Services activities
- An overview of the Peer Review Program.
- A lively Town Hall meeting where the Plan rewrite was discussed
