2011 Goals
1) Gather data to develop jurisdiction directory to provide information on requirements for cross border operations by August 2011.
2) Work with staff to create directory on IRP website. (Timing dependent on other IRP website development factors).
3) Rental Issues sub-group to research issues identified between U.S. and Canada on registration of rental operations, develop options to resolve issues and provide proposals to full Committee for consideration. (Complete by September 30, 2011)
4) Deploy direction of Board-approved recommendations to facilitate rental cross border operations. (2012 most likely)
Cross-Border Trucking Program
In an agreement signed on July 6, 2011, the US and Mexico announced a cross-border trucking program. More information and resources can be found on the Cross-Border Trucking Program page.
