IRP, Inc. is Going Green!
The IRP, Inc. Board of Directors and Committees are beginning to cut down on paper by using SharePoint, a Web-based collaboration and document management platform. It is currently being utilized as a place to share documents and track changes to them online, thereby reducing the need for printing. All parties involved are saving trees, ink and money!

IRP Checkpoint – Jurisdiction Reports Needed
GOAL FOR 2008 = HAVE A JURISDICTION REPORT FROM EVERY IRP JURISDICTION
Help us reach our goal! In preparation for the upcoming edition of IRP Checkpoint, to be presented to 2008 IRP Annual Meeting attendees, IRP, Inc. needs your input. Please send in your jurisdiction's report to be featured in this annual publication and in interactive map on the IRP, Inc. Web site. Click here to view last year's edition of IRP Checkpoint to see examples of jurisdiction reports.
In order to assist you in putting together your jurisdiction's report, IRP, Inc. has created a jurisdiction report template. This is intended to be used as a reference only, so feel free to add topics that are relevant or skip areas that do not apply to you. If you have any questions about how to complete this report, please contact Meredith Fender.
Note: Your jurisdiction's report must be received by no later than Aug. 29 in order to be featured in the 2008 edition of IRP Checkpoint.
The jurisdiction reports are an important inter-jurisdictional link, keeping IRP member jurisdictions and industry partners informed of current projects and news from your jurisdiction. We sincerely appreciate your contributions to this vital report.

Survey Update
If you are not a member of the IRP Community Yahoo! Groups, you missed the Nevada Passenger Rental Car survey. Please send a response on behalf of your jurisdiction, if you have not already done so, to Ricky Hensley by Friday, July 25.
The questions are as follows:
1. Does your jurisdiction require passenger rental car companies to allocate a portion of their fleet to your jurisdiction?
2. If yes, does your jurisdiction follow the guidelines in the International Registration Plan (IRP), Article IX Rental Vehicle Registration, Section 905, by determining the percentage of revenue earned in your jurisdiction and applying the percentage to the total number of vehicles registered to that company? How does your jurisdiction track the allocated amount to ensure your jurisdictions is compensated correctly?
3. If not, does your jurisdiction require passenger rental cars to be apportioned for your jurisdiction? Or does your jurisdiction register passenger rental cars using another method?
4. Does your jurisdiction conduct audits on passenger rental car companies to determine if a sufficient number of rental cars have paid your jurisdiction’s registration fees? If yes, what documents for passenger rental car fleets does your jurisdiction review to conduct the audit and verify fees?
5. Please include any statutory or regulatory cites from your jurisdiction that you feel may be helpful to Nevada, along with a contact name and phone number.
Thank you for your assistance.
