The state of Kentucky has adopted legislation during the 2006 meeting of Kentucky General Assembly that adds an ad valorem fee to the existing registration fee already being collected for IRP vehicles effective January 1, 2007. The existing registration fee has not changed. The only change is the addition of the ad valorem fee.
