California (CA) IRP registration expires annually on Dec. 31 and renewal fees must be paid by midnight of the expiration date according to CA statute.
CA is requesting that each jurisdiction delay enforcement of CA IRP through Feb. 29, 2008, for any vehicle that has valid 2007 CA IRP plates and cab card or temporary operating authority (REG 3100 or REG 2126 IRP) that expires on Dec. 31, 2007. Note that temporary operating authority that expires before Dec. 31, 2007 is not included in this delay of enforcement. Click here to view the official memo for further details.
