Idaho has passed legislation to allow the option of a permanent commercial trailer plate, effective July 1, 2007. At that time, the two trailer registration options will be 1-year or permanent. The 7-year trailer registration option will no longer be available effective July 1, 2007, however the current 7-year trailer plates will continue to be valid until the corresponding registration expires.
