Maine is interested in acquiring a Web-based IRP commercial vehicle apportioned registration system for the Department of the Secretary of State, Bureau of Motor Vehicles (Bureau). The Bureau intends to replace the existing system and have software developed, tested, and operating no later than July 1, 2010.
A Request for Proposal (RFP), describing the scope of work and inviting prospective bidders to offer functional and systems solutions, may be obtained by contacting Francis Fox at (207) 624-9056 or (207) 624-9086 (fax). Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend the bidder’s conference on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 at 1:30 p.m., at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, 101 Hospital St., Augusta, Maine.
Complete proposals must be received by 2 p.m. EST on Dec. 31, 2007 in order to be considered. Note that they must consist of ten hard copies of the entire proposal (one original and nine copies) and one electronic copy in accordance with the submission requirements. The package must clearly show the name and address of the bidder, be labeled “RFP No. 200711902 IRP Proposal for BMV” and be sent to the following address:
