At their board meeting earlier this month the IRP, Inc. Board of Directors approved the formation of the new International Committee and is seeking volunteers to serve on this committee. The International Committee will address cross-border issues such as the following:
• Canadian insurance and safety code issues
• No split-record authority in Canada for carriers being audited
• Leasing
• Development of ballots to solve cross-border trucking problems
• Educate IRP membership on international trucking issues
• Serve as ambassadors of IRP, Inc.’s position to outside entities
• Identify how legislation and regulatory changes impact truck registration
