California has enacted new legislation which will change the current registration fee for International Registration Plan (IRP) vehicles. Please note that jurisdictions have 120 days from the date of this notice (April 7, 2008) to implement this fee change.
The fee change will apply to all original, renewal, and supplement (vehicle adds) applications with a supplement date of July 1, 2008, and later.
Please make the following adjustments to the California Fee Schedule:

Increase the registration fee from $41 to $44 ($3 increase) for vehicles operating at an Unladen Weight of 10,000 pounds or less.

Increase the registration fee from $55 to $58 ($3 increase) for vehicles operating at a Declared Gross/Combined Gross Weight of 10,001 or more.
