Please see Nevada (NV)'s updated fee schedule that clarifies which factor must be used when using the NV Original Purchase Cost (OPC) table or the MSRP to calculate NV's Basic Governmental Services Tax.
When calculating NV's Basic Governmental Services Tax for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of 26,001 lbs. or more, the cost listed on NV's OPC table must be compared with the MSRP of the vehicle.
If the cost listed on NV's OPC table is greater than the MSRP of the vehicle, the OPC table must be used in conjunction with the factors listed on the chart referencing the OPC. If the vehicle's MSRP is greater than the cost listed on NV's OPC table, the MSRP must be used in conjunction with the factors listed on the chart referencing the MSRP.
