Due to the change in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s publication procedures, IRP, Inc. will publish the Canadian exchange rate for the third Monday of the month on Tuesday of the fourth week of each month (or Wednesday in the case of a federal holiday) going forward. For example, the February 17 rate that will be used for March fee calculations will be distributed on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Based on feedback received on the IRP Community Yahoo! Groups, some suggestions were made for changing the language in the Plan regarding the exchange rate. Jurisdictions are welcome to submit a ballot to change Plan language to provide for a different type of distribution of the Canadian Exchange Rate. Proposed ballots should be submitted to Joelle Ward by July 15, 2009 to be discussed at the next open meeting on Sept. 13, 2009.
