Conference Registration

Conference registration will be on the 7th floor in front of the Tango 3 Ballroom. Registration will be open 3 – 6:30 pm (Monday, Oct. 5) and 7 am – 5 pm (Tuesday, Oct. 6).

Attendees will receive name badges and conference materials at registration. Please remember that the name badge serves as the ticket to all workshop programs and meals. Please wear it at all times.

Optional 101 Sessions

Each morning, there will be an optional 101 session 7:15 – 7:45 am. For those attending, please pick up your breakfast in the Sky Line Atrium beforehand and bring it with you to the meeting room before the session starts at 7:15 am.

Hotel Information

Internet: Guests will receive complimentary wireless internet access in guest and meeting rooms. You will be given an internet code upon check-in with the hotel. Thank you to the Holiday Inn Riverwalk for generously providing this to its guests; this is not something organizers are usually able to provide due to the typical high cost.
Check-in and check-out times: Check-in is 4 pm; check-out is 12 noon.
Printing boarding passes: Complimentary printing of boarding passes will be offered at the business center in the lobby.
Parking discount: IRP attendees will receive a 25% discount on self-parking rates during the dates of the meeting. Self-parking is $22 for overnight per day ($16.50 with the discount). Valet parking is $28.

Attire
Dress for the workshop is business casual attire.  As individual preferences on room temperature vary, IRP recommends dressing in layers to maintain preferred comfort.

Dietary Restrictions and ADA Accommodations

Accommodations: Please contact IRP if there are additional accommodations we may provide so you can fully participate in the meeting.
Dietary restrictions: If you have any food allergies or other restrictions (i.e. vegetarian or kosher), please notify us as soon as possible by emailing IRP.

Post-Workshop: How Will Your Office Use the Information?
Before you even pack your bags, think through how you will share the knowledge gained from the conference to your colleagues.  Talk with colleagues beforehand to find out specific questions or concerns for which they would like additional resources and information. Also consider any particular contacts within jurisdictions or industry that might be helpful to your work in the future. See the attendee list.

For example, after the event, you might:
  • Give a presentation to your colleagues, either about a particular session or the conference in general.
  • Brief your supervisor on the meeting highlights.
  • Schedule a time for a Q&A with your colleagues about the meeting’s discussions.
  • Write summaries of particular programs for colleagues.
  • Share handouts from specific sessions with other staff members.
  • Follow up with new contacts gained from the meeting.
