IRP Application Forms

This is part of the IRP Orientation Plan.

Section 315 Application Process indicates that the Base Jurisdiction (base) shall determine the application process and filing deadlines for applications for registration under the Plan.

This tells us that each Base is allowed to come up with its own registration application process as long as it contains the information elements required by the Plan and such other information that is required by the Base. All jurisdictions require the registrant to meet the IRP “base jurisdiction” and “established place of business” requirements. (See the Plan definitions)

Typically the registrant must provide the following in support of the account set-up application:

  • Proof of Established Place of Business
  • Proof of Residency
  • Proof of vehicle ownership
  • Proof of Insurance
  • Proof of Heavy Vehicle Use Tax - IRS Form 2290 payment

In most cases, in order to establish an IRP account, the registrant will complete paper applications that collect business, vehicle and jurisdiction information. Typically these are known as a Schedule A and B.
